It’s all about Japan, as seen through the medium of opinion polls and surveys. I daily translate interesting (and uninteresting too, it must be said!) looks at the likes and dislikes of average consumers.

I work as a software engineer in Japan, but I do wish I did this for a living!

I had heard figures that about 80%, 90% or even 98% of Japanese believed both Shinto and Buddhism, but I wanted to find out what the truth was, and from their I just thought I could make a go of translating more surveys for as much my own benefit (translation and Japanese training) as for my readers!

I’ve been up and running almost two years, with an average of one post per day.

On a good day I can surpass 1,000, but average recently has been 800 or so, plus a healthy number of RSS readers.

AdSense works quite nicely for me, as do Text Link Ads. Auction Ads hasn’t worked at all, and I’m starting dipping my toe into affiliate selling. All in all I average just under 1 cent per visit.

Those curious about Japan, but aspects other than the usual manga and anime, and anyone interested in doing business in Japan.

About one hour or so online, and I have a 1 hour commute by train each way where I often translate, if I can find a seat!

Because it makes me happy and keeps me going when I see my subscription numbers rising! I publish something at least once a week that will make you smile, and something else that will inform you.
