Maugeritaville is pretty eclectic, but the main focus is on humorous stories from my childhood, college years, and as an educator and a parent. While there’s some serious information from time to time, it’s mainly a place to go for a laugh or two (usually at my expense).

I’m an elementary school principal, and a teacher beore that. Writing is a hobby for now, but who knows?

My job and my life in general provide so many hilarious encounters that I felt the need to get them down somewhere. Blogland seems to be the perfect outlet.

I’m a green rookie, just a few months.

Only a handful for now, but I’m hoping that the word gets out.

I’m part of AdSense but to this point I haven’t seen a penny. But that’s not really my goal with this anyway.

An hour or so on weekends, less during the work week.

I try to write several posts in advance, so there’s something new every three or four days. I’m pretty picky about what I post, too, I don’t just throw something up for the heck of it. I try to do my best work all the time, and hopefully that will lead to solidly humorous material. But the reader really has to be the judge of that.

Keep writing, and don’t ever post your first draft. Wait until you are completely (or as completely as possible) happy with your work before you hang it out there for public consumption.
