Gumbo Writer (aka Angie Ledbetter)

I guess my header says it pretty well ~~ “Thoughts on one crazy life with three teens, a new puppy, writing, editing, taking care of family, anything that makes you laugh, trivia, good food and whatever else comes up…”

I am a retired special ed teacher, private investigator, caterer and house cleaning biz owner. I haven’t yet retired from mother- and wifehood or being a care giver to my Mom. To bring in a few extra bucks, I freelance write and edit. My plan for the future is to finish revising my manuscript of women’s fiction.

Love of networking and forming writing connections, to keep myself writing daily, for my very (and questionable) sanity, and for fun.

I began Gumbo Writer in September of 2008.

Oooo, I don’t do maff, but I’ve had over 18,000 visitors to my Blogland home since 9/10 of last year. [I think that adds up to roughly 180 days at @ 100/day?]

No, my blog is as dirt poor as I am. I don’t host ads or other money-making stuffs.

Anyone who has a slighly off sense of humor; people who love trivia, great southern (cheap and easy) recipes and/or politically incorrect humor; and writers on the book publishing or agent querying journey.

The posts usually take me anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, with the longest being the illustration and photographing of Ledbetter Lunacy episodes on Fridays. Now…if you’re talking about the time I spend visiting and commenting on others’ blogs…well, we just won’t talk about that, k?

I hope I give my readers a good laugh, something good to eat, fun conversation and brain food on a regular basis.

Speak from the heart, be true to who you are, visit others regularly, and try to share the love and good stuff around. You know…just like in real life.
