Rants, Raves, and Renagade is geared towards online – eCommerce – sellers. By raving about websites and methods I have discovered work best for me, and ranting about things I feel hurt an online business, I hope to give solid information for all in eCommerce.

Blogging is not ‘my job’, it is just one facet of my life. I am primarily a dealer of music, on vinyl, cassette, and CD, but I also sell an assortment of items. I can be found on Bonanzle.com, Amazon.com, and eBay, as well as my own site, www.renagadesrelics.com.
Renagades Relics is also where I host some of the best Indie Musicians you can find. Working in PR for these bands, I have introduced the music of Damien Cripps, MOnk, and others to a wider audience that is hungry for real music, not the same old hip hop rap so prominent online today.
With my Husband, we also operate a DJ and Karaoke Service in Northeast Alabama – www.2wolves.com offering DJ services for all occassions.
So you can see why I say “Music is my passion, my life, my business!”

I am a passionate person. And selling online is one of those passions. When I started, I didn’t even know what the term eCommerce meant.
From researching marketplaces, and trying to find tips of the trade, I discovered many good places to find information but also some really poor ones. Basically it was just going to be a referance spot for me, I had no idea others would find it useful as well.

Not really sure, I started it a couple of years ago. Time can fly when your are having fun.

I honestly have no idea. I do not put too much stock into how many people see it, I am happy if I hear that one person came, read it, and found a tip or trick that they found can help them further themselves in the online world.

I do run the Google ads, and Amazon ads, but no luck off them. I also have links to my items and have had some successful sales stem from them.
But to say my blog is a stream of income, the answer would be no, it is just a small part in the larger picture.

Anyone who sells or is thinking of selling online. I feel even online shoppers would benifit from reading how other sellers respond in omments, and it would give shoppers a glimpse into just what a seller goes through everyday.

I dont blog ‘everyday’. I only blog when there is a issue that I feel needs to be addressed.
I dont view my blogs ( yes plural, I have two more)as ‘online journals’ but as a spot to add value.

This blog is not for everyone, although I feel everyone could find value here.
But If you are in the crazy world of online sales, either just starting or an old hand at it, I think you will find good solid information.
I always welcome comments, and even if you think I am dead wrong, I will always respect your opinion and welcome it. That is how we all grow, is through voicing and listening to ideas.

There are some really basic rules I try to follow:
1. Be complete but direct, K.I.S.S. it.
2. Have a general theme – topic – for your blog and stay on topic.
3. Promote your blog – no one can read it if they don’t know it is there
4.Proof read it!
5. Visit other blogs – read them – leave comments – and learn from their style.

Mike,
I want to thank you for this great opportunity! I enjoyed participating!
And I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read this interview – it means alot to me.
I have been a Renagade follower on Twitter for several months now, and I have come to respect her knowledge, her insight, her integrity, and her sense of humor. As someone who is contemplating tackling an online business, I have learned a great deal about e-commerce from her blog. I also know that, should I have a question, she would be more than willing to lend a hand.

When Susan blogs, I pay attention. There is substance in her passion for music and e-commerce in general. What she writes adds value to business or offers a balanced perspective on the Indie bands she follows. Music is her business, and she knows it well. Keep up the excellent blogging Susan!
