beginning freelance writer blogs almost daily on the process of “writing daily” with inspirational writing quotes, writing prompts, craft book recommendations and anything and everything about the world of books and writing.

I am a chef/restaurant owner and part time freelance writer/poet. I am currently writing a women’s literature manuscript and trying to figure out how to make a living writing.

My blog evolved from my daily emails nagging my writing friends not to give up, to be persistent and passionate about their writing.

I started in June 2007 and I have almost blogged every day since then.

I get approximately 200 visitors per day.

I am trying to make an income with my blog but so far it hasn’t gone very well. I keep reading the experts advice and trying to implement new strategies all the time. I am determined for it to provide some sort of income.

I think a beginning writer would find it inspiring as well as a more seasoned writer. I think writers give up too quickly and I’m just hear to say there’s a market for every writer if they continue to write and improve their craft.

I spend 2-3 hours per day blogging and marketing my blog. That’s a lot of time for not much income but I continue to do it because I love it.

If you need motivation, encouragement, writing prompts, inspiration and a daily shot of “you can do this” you should subscribe to the Writing Nag. I let my readers know the struggles as well as the successes. Writers are a great group of friends to have they root for you to succeed and don’t let you give up on your dream.

Like daily writing, I would say write about your passion and don’t give up too early. Write quality posts that will help others be successful. Read and comment on other people’s blogs, there’s a lot of good information out there. I had another blog a year ago but it seemed too much like work. The Writing Nag doesn’t seem like a job to me.
