blogabout
I blog about all kinds of random things. Like: I drink copious amounts of diet coke. I have an amazing girlfriend and a guitar I can’t play. Her name is Bettye Ruth. My guitar, not my girlfriend. Her name is April. I have an aunt that gets crazy when she drinks and a cowgirl hat that makes me feel ten feet tall and bullet proof. One day I want to be famous writer girl. And to live in a place where my trashy 20-year old neighbor won’t pull his Mustang onto the front lawn to unload his gaggle of kids.

blogliving
When marketing and public relations aren’t paying the bills, I work at a school designed for kids with severe emotional issues (I’m wicked fast at dodging flying chairs and mini-fists).

I am well aware that I am probably more than just a little crazy for enjoying these particular kids as much as I do…

whystartblog
I started blogging on Myspace and sending a copy of my blogs to friends and family members. After a year or so, I found out that each person I emailed my blogs to was then sending them to their own distribution list of friends and family.

I’d never formally “blogged” before, but figured I’d save everyone a step by posting my blogs on a site that everyone could access themselves.

It’s also helpful to have a blog site because I curse so much in my blogs that I was always scared that emailing my posts would set off a red light in someone’s HR dept….Now I breath easily and feel free to smack my gutter gums.

howlongblog
I’ve been blogging on Myspace for about 2 years. I’ve been on blogspot since August of 2007.

howmany
I had my record high a week ago.

Ya’ll should sit down for this number.

Seriously.

Wait. You probably are sitting.

never mind.

SEVENTY-NINE!!!

Fine. Okay. I know in the world of blogs, it’s only a big deal if you geat thousands a day.

But gimme another week and I’ll be competitive.

income
Nope. Not really interested in having ads on my site or blogging about a particular place or product. I like having a pure place to blog without meeting any type of critera.

In a perfect world, people would pay ME to put an ad on my site.

Methinks I need more than 79 viewers….but believe you me…they are some QUALITY viewers. That’s gotta count for something, right?

interestedblog
Anyone who loves ridiculous humor. If you are a fan of either Dave Barry or David Sedaris, you’re probably twisted enough to find my blogs moderately funny (and probably pretty relatable).

I’m just me. Blogging about my life and the people in it.

howlongday
Eh, usually an hour or hour and a half. I try to post a blog every day, respond to everyone who’s commented on my blog, and read a few of my own favorites.

I’m amazed every day at the level of talent out there and am both humbled and inspired by it.

whysubscribeblog
Because if you don’t, I’ll send a chain letter to you every day for the rest of your life. And then some kid in Egypt will starve to death and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will produce more Scientology offspring.

Who wants that on their conscience?

whatadvicebloggers
I’m not really in the place to be giving advice, but writing for yourself first and foremost has always been a rule of mine. If others enjoy reading it, rock on. If they don’t, I’m still going to write what I feel and in the style I’ve developed.

Changing either of those is pretty non-negotiable for me.

I think being true to yourself is what truly resonatates with anyone reading your blog.

I just wish she would rinse the egg or oatmeal off the dishes before she puts them in the sink. Is that too much to ask?

Heather has declared her intentions clearly - The Wishful Writer. Already, her wish is coming true. With an article recently published in Curve magazine and a Blog post published in The Washington Post, she is well on her way.
