The Bearded Man- Robb Ellis

An in depth daily look at politics, life and trials of living and surviving in Zimbabwe. I lived there for 34 years and as an ex-policeman in there I believe I have a unique insight into the crisis.

Following an accident at work in 2000, I am now disabled, so I spend my time working on the internet with my various websites, doing graphics and currently I am writing my second book. I am a huge music lover. I read waay too much!

I began blogging by accident really, and within a few weeks felt the calling to write about Zimbabwe – mainly because I am so passionate about my adopted home.

Just over 4 years.

Depending on the depth of the crisis, anything between 2500 and 4500 a day.

No – unless you count the spin-off which I sometimes earn when someone buys my first book which is advertised on the blog.

Anyone who has lived in Zimbabwe, Africa or just anyone who is interested in the crisis that Mugabe has caused in the last 30 years…

Anything up to 4 hours… That sounds a lot, but when you consider the research and background work that has to be done… (I ordinarily do a weekly podcast from the blog, but following some nasty developments in my medical condition, this has been temporarily shelved.)

Wanna know what is going on in Zimbabwe? This is the page to get an up to date line on what is happening…

Research, research, research…
