Actually, this is a spin off of a story blog I write. I had a few readers some time ago have an interest in one of the characters. And someone asked me why I never write in First person. So this is that attempt. At the moment, you’ll see entries written from the Ellie’s point of view and then Lon’s point of view. They are a young married couple with a toddler who live in the mid-west. Occasionally, I pull a few pictures from my block. Usually, winter pictures. I suppose it could be called creative non-fiction, since most things I do find to write about are about things from my own life, but all the people I show on the blog are just actors.
I actually work at a library. I like to write. Its just a hobby.
Actually, through the interest of readers wanting to know more about certain characters in the story. I felt this was a good way to get to know the characters too. Also, I wanted to show the ups and downs of early marriage. I wanted it to be an adventure of ordinary things and to remember people I have met and known.
This section I started on 8.15.08. It started out about Lonnie Love account of living on a rural ranch in Texas who had to move in with his father and step-family when his grandmother had to be moved to a nursing home. Later, his story stopped and I started Lon Love’s story (Lonnie’s half-brother) who was definitely like many rural Texas males I have met on occasion which you will not meet in Dallas or San Antonio.
That’s hard to say. I don’t update everyday with this blog. I do try to continue the story with Ellie’s friends. Occasionally, there are segments about Ellie and Lon and the drama in their life. Well, if you could call it that.
Unfortunately, not.
I guess someone who likes a story or a serial to tap into from time to time. At one time, I might have had more young adult readers at one time, but as the characters grow older so do the readers. Honestly, I just hope someone will find something of themselves in the characters so they can relate to. But I’m sure I’m not going to be fancied by everyone.
Basically, I started blogging hoping to become a better writer.
I better not say. More than I should. I’m sure.
I guess to find out what happens next. And hopefully, they’ll find something they like about the character driven stories.
