I am a web designer by trade. I also do photography. My blog is a diversion that keeps me semi-sane and feeds my deep seated narcissism.
I don’t have a specific topic I blog about. I’ve always been interested in photography; I find it hard to look at anything without imagining it through the lens. I didn’t actually start to really pursue my interest until college; it was only at that time that I really had the means to do it right and even then financially it was a difficult interest to pursue properly. It still is! my photos always reflect something of myself regardless of the subject matter. I suppose that is a selfish sort of way to approach it, but art by its very nature is selfish; it’s unavoidable. If you look at my photos, I think you will come away with some understanding of who I am, however small. I definitely have a darker side however I like to think of it as a dark side with a hint of rainbow. I’m a hopeful person regardless of whether that is immediately evident. I like to believe in the best outcome even if I expect the worst.
I’ve been working on this blog since 2004.
It ranges… I get from 45-150 visitors per day on average.
I do not make money from my blog and don’t particularly have any plans to do so.
Blogging and the online world in general is this alternate universe that nonetheless can seem very real. I think you can feel a sense of connection with others that feels very genuine even though you have never met. It’s a strange thing and quite unique to our current culture; I don’t think our grandparents could generally fathom this sort of “relationship”.
I think creative people, anyone interested in art and photography and people with an offbeat sense of humour would be interested in what I have to share.
Some days I spend less than 10 minutes on the blog while other days I revisit over and over and devote hours to the cause!
