Foxy Pink Cheetah- anonymous

blogabout
I (Foxy) am a feisty Jack-Mormon who says exactly what I think.

I’m a student. Is this a job or hobby? Oh, how I wish I could get paid for my schooling. And it’s technically a hobby because I’m doing something school related the majority of the time and I do enjoy it (sometimes…)

whystartblog
I started this blog because I love to write. That says nothing about how great of a writer I am. In fact, this has been a learning experience for me. The whole point is to become a better writer. Had I tried to start the perfect blog, it never would have gotten started.

howlongblog
I started working on my blog in October of 2008. I had tried to start it many times before but lacked the motivation and THOUGHT I lacked the creativity. Admittedly, I didn’t want to make my blog public until it was perfect. Thank goodness I came to my senses.

howmany
Just about two hundred a day. (plus or minus)

income
I would LOVE to make money off of my blog! I mean, who doesn’t want to make money while doing something they love? Unfortunately, no money thus far. I tried putting google ads up once but they just cluttered up my page. I may attempt it again but I’d like them to be more aesthetically pleasing.

I definitely get more comments from women. Being a feminist woman in the Mormon culture tends to put a weird spin on my views and, surprisingly, I have many LDS as well as non LDS followers and commentators. I’d guess that 85-90% of them are women.

howlongday
Any time I can. Being a student can stall things for a few days but I’d much rather be blogging. On the days that I blog I can spend hours or just a few minutes on a post.

whysubscribeblog
Oh man, as much as I’d love to sell myself and make you guys mentally salivate when I tell you all of the glorious things I post on my blog…I’d hate to be so pretentious.

I love my blog. But, it’s mine. Of course I want you to read it and leave supportive and thought provoking comments. Plus, the more followers I get, the better my chances are of having a successful, revenue generating blog.

So, my persuasive tactics at their best (worst): Come to my blog because I’m a newly married, ridiculously poor, (brilliant) starving college kid. I’d rather not look underweight. Help me buy food. My $3.50/hr waitressing job just doesn’t cut it.

1. Be true to yourself. The more often you post honest blogs (without getting too-too personal) the more likely you are to gain followers who are much like you.

2. Post a lot. Who gives a sh!t if it’s not perfect?? Do it for you!

3. Don’t feed the trolls! Some people are going to post bitchy comments on your blog. Their intention is to get under your skin and start a fight. Don’t respond. Or at least wait 24 hours before posting an extremely clever, non-snarky remark.
