This is a blog that strives to reveal the ultimate truth on why people blog based on my observations and opinions. I highlight successful bloggers and tries to decipher what makes them tick and whether what they do is suitable for others who wants to follow.
I am self employed, running a very small hardware store that is hardly paying for my daily expenses. Blogging to me is a hobby, but a serious one.
It all started when I noticed a lot of blogs have been created by people who tries to mimic those successful ones with a sole purpose of making some money from the blog.
These blogs has no original contents, only ideas taken from professional bloggers and re-written to appear as theirs.
They try to portray themselves out as money making or blogging gurus, giving out tips, taken shamelessly from other blogs.
I started this blog topic in trying to counter that and tell people not to follow what ever they read blindly.
Blog Gigs is actually only 2 months old. I transferred all the older postings from another domain which had rather inappropriate name when I got hold of blogigs.com
Sad to say, hits are not up to expectation as yet for Blog Gigs as I have done noting or invested a single cent to publicise this blog.
I only average about 100 hits per day. On days when readers Stumble me, hit will increase dramatically. Happy to note though, that Stumbles have been quite frequent. Guess there are people out there that really appreciates what I write

I do have 2 other blogs, ahpek.com and louyeh.com, that brings in some income though. Most of them are from reviews and sales of text links.
I think anyone who has an intention of starting a blog and those who are already blogging should read this blog.
For beginners, they will learn that not everything they read is applicable to their blog.
For those already blogging, they will get to share my insights gained from the 3 years that i have been blogging.
I spend more than 10 hours daily in front of my computers. Actual blogging hours are around 4 to 5 hours.
Of course you should. Everyone who blogs should. I have very interesting articles posted everyday. I reveal the ultimate truth of blogging. You won’t want to miss them do you?
Hmm.. I am not the one to be giving advise, but my formula is, don’t be overly keen to succeed from day one. Blog for yourself first before blogging for others.
If we can write articles that we fell proud of reading them ourselves, I am sure others will also enjoy them. If we write things that we ourselves feels that is lame, then I think, we should not feed them to others.
And of course, don’t go around stealing other’s ideas and making then your own. If you must, always give credit to the originator.
