I share writing advice, information about small press and electronic publishing, news about books and authors, and my life as a Christian freelance writer and editor.

The blog is a hobby although it is closely related to my full-time work as a writer and editor.

I love to tell people about books, authors, publishing, and writing; to mentor writers; and to communicate with other people with the same interests.

I started this blog in June 2006. I had blogged sporadically in the past on group blogs but got serious about blogging when I started A Writer’s Words, An Editor’s Eye.

Usually less than 100, but I’ve had as many as 800 visitors when a post got reviewed on StumbleUpon. Since the blog is a hobby, I haven’t put much effort into promotion.

Although I occasionally post an affiliate link (such as a book at Amazon.com), I haven’t made any money and am not actively pursuing monetization.

Someone who loves to read will enjoy learning about books and authors. Anyone who writes – freelancers and published authors, aspiring writers, and people who write in the course of their work or daily lives – will find useful information. People who like to talk about books, authors, writing, and publishing can communicate in comments as I encourage conversation.

About an hour per day five days per week

Readers should subscribe to learn about books and authors. Writers – professional and amateur – should subscribe to learn about writing, and publishing.

I think passion is key to success in anything. Above all, love what you do.
