SHE in China- Jonna Wibelius

blogabout
SHE (Seen, Heard and Experienced) in China is my personal blog about my every day encounters in China.

blogliving
Before I moved to China in 2006 I worked in media but right now I am studying Chinese full-time. Blogging is a hobby and it suits me perfectly as I love writing.

whystartblog
Before I moved to China many of my friends suggested I would start blogging about my new life in China. I felt I needed some time to get to know the country before I started to write about life here, so it wasn’t until I’d already been in China for 1 year that I started blogging. By then I felt I had a lot of funny stories to share.

howlongblog
Since December 2007.

howmany
Around 1000. A little bit less during weekends. I have some 800 ‘followers’ which I find quite amazing!

income
Last month my blog was named a ‘blog of note’ by the blogger team and as a result of that I got more than 10,000 hits in one day! Crazy! Some of my blog posts have also been re-published in magazines/newspapers. I don’t have any income from blogging at the moment (however, I’d love to. Who wouldn’t?!)

interestedblog
Anyone interested in life in China rather than what the newspapers write about China. I write about my daily encounters: my language struggles, my friendship with Chinese people, funny conversations I have, strange things I see, food I eat, culture differences, traveling and so on.

howlongday
It depends, but anything from 45 min to 2 hours.

whysubscribeblog
I’ve been told that my blog tells more about life in China than any ‘China guide book’ does, so I reckon that is a good reason! Also, I am not a China expert in any way, so I think anyone can relate to my experiences. And, I update my blog on a daily basis to keep things interesting.

whatadvicebloggers
Update your blog often, every day if possible. Use a lot of photos. Go for a neat lay-out rather than some strange fonts and colorful background. And write about things that you are interested in and feel you have something to say about, otherwise your readers are going to be bored.
