Tip Tail is dedicated to the dogs in my life, my keepers, as well as the fosters that come and go. I blog about dog training, collie rescue, agility, flyball, obedience, and other dog things.

I am a programmer for a living. I have been for about 9 years now. Before that I worked in the welfare department. I got burned out, so went to school, while working full time. Took me 4 years to get my 3 year degree, but I’m very glad I did.

I started blogging a few years ago, back in 2004. My blogs were never very active until recently. This year my blogs have really taken off. And my dogs are my passion, so I have a lot to talk about. Dogs and behavior fascinate me, and I love to share the things I’ve learned.

Since September 24, 2004. It started on blogger, but then I moved it to wordpress because I like having it on my own host and having complete control over every aspect. Maybe I’m a control freak that way.

To tell you the truth, I’m not sure. I have a number of regular readers who comment, but I haven’t really kept track of the number of visitors the blog has a day. I am still learning about the various ways to track visitors. It would be interesting to know.

One of the reasons I really started getting excited about blogging was because I started blogging for money. All the money I make from the blog goes to Utah Collie Rescue, Inc. The most effective ways to make money is posting about products. I have sold some links on the site, too, in the sidebar. I hope in the future, as my blog becomes more popular, I’ll be able to make more and donate more to the collies.

Mostly dog people. Those interested in dog sports and dog rescue, and dog training. Lots of people like to read about animal rescue, even if they don’t have animals themselves.

Oh way to stinking much.
I have been having so much fun, sometimes on Saturdays I sit on the laptop from about 10am until 9pm. Tomorrow, though, I plan on cleaning the house!

Because you’ll get regular updates on collie rescue here in Utah. And interesting and fun stories about my dogs, and about other dogs. You may learn something about animal behavior in the process, too.

One of the best things I think is to really promote your blog. If you like to write a blog, you’ll need to read blogs too. Read and comment on other blogs that are related to your blog and you can build a fun reader base, and even make some great friends.
