Observations, episodes and soapbox moments, interspersed with the occasional Paddington Bear hard stare. It is a slice of life seen through the eyes of a Northumberland-living, horse mad, thirty-something singleton. I blog about whatever is on my mind that day. I do have the odd obstreperous moment.

I am a journalist and am currently working for a business publisher, where I write news stories, articles and fact sheets.

I started blogging as an outlet to write more creatively than my job allows. I enjoy playing with words and finding out where a train of thought will go.

Since February 2007.

It depends on the day of the week. Somewhere in the region of 200+ but fewer at weekends.

No, it is a labour of love!

People who like the countryside, books, horses, cats, music, random thoughts and conversations.

It doesn’t take that long to write the entry – but I spend maybe an hour or more visiting people on my sidebar and any new commenters that appear.

Because it touches on so many topics. Monday’s entry may not interest you but Wednesday’s is likely to be on a completely different topic. It helps if you like the countryside and horses though!

Don’t underestimate how much of your time blogging will take up. As you find more blogs and start to interact with more people, it will eat up ever more of your time. It’s pretty addictive.
Find your own voice. Don’t try to emulate others.
Oh, and don’t be scared to write what you think, just because others don’t agree with you, it doesn’t mean you’re wrong.

I don’t always get time to leave a comment at M&M’s blog, as I only get a half hour lunch break and don’t have the internet at home, but I always read her post everyday. I am jealous of the amount of comments she gets, but then she does put a lot more time and effort into her blog than I do mine!!
I want to take this moment to say that I really love this blog. It has been a good resource of information for me in my research. Thank you so much.
