I’m the CEO and co-founder of Embrace Pet Insurance. I work full time on Embrace, while being a mother to my daughters (3 year old and a 1 year old as of June 2007). Of course, I have 2 cats and a very understanding husband.
Pet insurance has not had the best reputation up to now as many companies did not disclose fully what they did and did not cover. And they took forever to not pay claims. So I wanted to educate pet parents on what’s important about pet insurance and how to tell the difference between Embrace and the rest.
Since April 2005 so it’s been over 2 years now. I’ve been blogging on and off on other blogs since April 2001.
Between 50 and 100 depending on the day so not that many. I have about 100 RSS subscribers too and that’s growing faster than direct readership at the moment.
Pet parents thinking who are thinking about getting pet insurance and those who already have it who want other options.
About half an hour. I spend a lot of time reading other blogs too to keep up with what’s happening in the real world.
You’ll learn more than you’ll ever want to know about pet insurance, that’s for sure, but you can also watch a small company grow up at the same time.
Be consistent, don’t try to shoot the lights out with every post and experiment until you find your blogging voice. I also get inspired by other bloggers and use that to improve my own style.
