Part Finnegan, the Irish Wolfhound’s, fight with cancer, part me releasing the crazy within my head. At this moment, our children are four (and three) legged creatures with names like Finnegan, Mr. Stinny, Shrimpycat, Lilliputian and Donald. Within the next two years, we will be adding the two legged variety to our household. For now, all we can handle are children who can meow and woof.

I work in an office, behind my desk, researching, writing, and representing…

After searching the internet for personal accounts of giant breed dogs with bone cancer, I decided I would start a blog that would provide a personal and often light hearted chronicle of Finnegan’s fight with cancer.

I started in June 2006 when Finnegan was first diagnosed, so just over one year.

It depends if I have posted. When I post, I think it averages around 60 hits.

I tried Google Adsense but it has not really produced any substantial income. Do presents from other dog parents count? I am not exactly looking to generate income from the blog; however, if anyone would like to pay me to write the story of Finnegan, sign me up!

I would guess someone who likes animals, someone who is not offended by a little sarcasm, and any human who is going through a health crisis with his or her animal companion.

Some days I write the post in my head while driving or before falling asleep. Inspiring, eh

Why? Well, you should do what you want but if you want to stop on by for some quirkiness and some Irish Wolfhound eye candy, feel free! Everyone is welcome.

So not original, but be yourself.

I love this blog and I try to stop by every day. Boomer thinks that Finn is one handsome pooch and I have always wanted an Irish Wolfhound so it’s fun learning about them a bit through this blog.

Finny is hilarious and informative (about himself and his cancer, and the world in general). I recommend this blog to anyone who loves to laugh and doesn’t want pure fluff in their blog reading.

I have a google alert for “osteosarcoma” (of the human kind) and it picks up your posts about Finnigan. I really enjoy them, they are upbeat, unlike real life with osteo!
