My Blog deals with political and social issues, mostly from a South African constitutional law perspective.

I am a law Professor teaching Constitutional Law.

People can seem pretty narrow minded, boring and insular. My blog is an attempt to stir things up a bit, to provoke in a way that will make people rethink their positions. In the process I might rethink my own positions as well.

Since November 2006.

At the moment about 250 visitors. Of course, more will be great!

Anyone interested in politics and law, but especially someone who has a sense of humour, see the world as a conservative place and wishes to be made to think about issues as wide ranging as gay marriage and the death penalty.

About one hour. It takes more time than I thought!

I try to write in a lively and humorous style about serious issues, keeping a balance between intellectual vigor and entertainment.

Stick to what you find interesting and what you know, but never forget that the audience has limited time and that you need to make sure not to bore them with leaden prose and long windedness.
